Blacksky is a sophisticated exercise in distributed Blackness, providing a platform to amplify, protect, and moderate Black content for building a safe online community. It aims to decenter whiteness as the default and offer a space for Black individuals to discuss everyday Black experiences in an affirming environment. Built on the Authenticated Transfer Protocol (ATP) and written in Rust, Blacksky utilizes microservices to analyze, aggregate, and output content by and for Black users, intersecting with culture, machine learning, and decentralized web technologies.
